I've done some writing today - what a miracle!

After November, being able to do anything apart from writing was a bit of a novelty, so I haven't done much writing during December, if I'm honest.

This morning, I knew that I needed to crack on with my NaNo novel and get it finished before I can start on all my projects for the New Year. So far, I have written (this morning) 198 words, although it looks like way more. That brings my total wordcount up to 52,292 words - which I'm quite proud of really :D That's a month and about 2 days after NaNos work.

I can probably finish this today, although I'm sure I have plenty of other things to do - such as playing the Sims :D Nevermind - best crack on with the writing.

December 13th (Unlucky for some?)

At first, I was planning on just writing one series of Novels during my WriYe but then my brain has to decide it likes another idea as well and now - I'm writing two separate series.

The first series I planned will be a fantasy, and I probably won't start writing that until later on during 2011 as I haven't fully decided what is going to happen in that series - but I do have some interesting characters planned for it :D

The second series I have planned is realistic, and is the one that I'm going to write first. I know the characters that I'll use, I just need to give them names and pad them out a little bit using (possibly) the spreadsheet that I used for NaNo.

I'm very excited about WriYe - especially as I'll beat Heather ;)

Can't wait to start writing :D

From January 1st...

In November 2010, I took part in the 30-day hell fun known as NaNoWriMo, and I managed to reach the 50,000 word target - Yay! When I was younger, writing was something I always did, but as I got older, well, perhaps I began to lose my imagination a little. Taking part in NaNo has re-sparked the passion for writing that I used to have.

So, back to the point of this post - my friend Heather (who is an awesome fellow writer) told me about WriYe, where you write for a whole year and set your own target and I knew that I had to take part :D I already have started planning my next novel (which I hope will be the first in a trilogy) and can't wait to be taking on Heather in a word war ;)

Bring on January 1st.
